Been A While!Hey everyone!
I have been super busy as of late! It's been over a year since I uploaded a new journal entry!
First off, I moved out my mother's house, into a 1 bedroom condo (didn't quite work out 6 months in) and then my husband ColinAus and I moved into an 2 bedroom apartment. So far so good! We have been on our own since August! Our first landlord was a complete DITZ, don't even get me started! I never even received our deposit back, but I guess I'm better off now anyways. Our current landlord is now our best friend and we help him around the apartments.
Married life seems pretty good so far. Ups and down, mainly financially is the problems we have.
I've gotten into photography again, so expect to see some more stuff soon! I'm holding sessions now and recently just did my FIRST newborn session! I would LOVE to see if anyone in my area wants some cosplay photography done! I would love to do that!
My last post mentioned skyrim, I have not played skyrim in over a
FUS RO DAH!I'm super excited because I got my Skyrim back!!! WOOHOO! It still didn't work after I got it fixed so I rented the game, installed it on my xbox360, returned that game, and my disc works again cause I installed it. I started a new one last week not even a week later I'm at level 32. I'm freaking dreaming of skyrim. Hell, I went to town and saw some rocks that looked like it had ore in it and had to remind myself this is not skyrim!!! UGHHHHH!!! My husband has watched me play it as well so much that he is now dreaming of it. I'm just making up for lost time.
I noticed that it helps my stress and anger so my family and husband tell me to play it all I want. It's not like I can do anything else anyways right now. I don't have a job *I have looked as well and the economy is bad and no where is hiring* and not in school *because my last school screwed me over and put me in default, so I can't find work to pay off my loans to go back to school*. Colin has a job and our truck is giving us pr
12,000 Pageviews + PointsWOW, I will admit, I never thought I'd get almost 12,000 pageviews!!!!!! Like seriously, I remember when I got 1,000 and thought, WOW, 1,000 people have viewed my work, but now it's almost 12,000!!! Makes me feel so special and loved!!
It's not much, but whoever gets my 12,000 pageview mark please take a screen shot of the screen showing my dA profile and pageviews and note me the photo for 100 POINTS!!!
Thank you again and please let it be known, I love all of you, I love your work to those I watch and to those who watch me. I also may not reply to every single thing, but I always read my comments and see those who favorite my photography! Without some of you deviants and your wonderful comments, I probably wouldn't be where I am now and looking to forward to taking photos more for you all to see!
A simple way to explain my work is I take photos that Inspire me and I try to bring that inspiration out to Ins
Happy 2013!!!!! ^_^Happy 2013 everyone! I'm super excited about this year, 13 is my lucky number and it's going into the Year of the Snake which is the year I'm born in. So I'm feeling good about this year!
Not much has happened this past week. I found a local game store I've never been into before and they told me they can repair my skyrim. I'm going to try it out today and see if the repair worked. I went in there and they first thought me a "girly girl", probably because how I dress *jeans, black cute butterfly shirt, cowgirl boots, sweet jewelry* but then I was like, uh no, I'm Dovakhin!! I am leader of the Dark Brotherhood and Companions! I own 4 houses, level 46, I know all shouts like FUS RO DAH! And I defeated Alduin long ago, I wasted my life away to try and LIVE in this game for over a year. After that they got the picture and they tested me on questions for fun which I answered all correctly. LMAO I go in a week later, which was yesterday to fix my disk and I walk in and they were lik
Hello Fellow Deviants!Hello all!
I have been busy trying to get back into photography and into my groove again. I got a new lens, a AF Nikkor 70-210. It is BEA-UTIFUL!! I haven't even changed my lens at all to another one of mine. So now I can take photos of things I know I've always wanted to do before. I know I told everyone how I had a 70-300mm Nikkor, but it was extremely touchy and would never focus right for me, so I sold it a while back. It was too much for me at the time. But that's ok!
If anyone read my last journal, I stated how I was going to be on etsy, well ta-da! -----> http://www.etsy.com/shop/DeviantCreations
November 4th 2012Hello again deviant artists!
I got a membership for a little while, so I'm going to hang around a little bit more and post more photos.
On a side note, I've been alright. Been playing a few games here and there and cooking. Been married for over a year now. It doesn't even feel like a year. My husband finally found some great work, and now we're looking for a 4x4 vehicle, because it already has snowed here in the mountains of North Carolina and it's freaking cold out. Trying to find a loan, but keep getting denied, bleh....but it will work out somehow.
I still play Skyrim...alot...I'm at level 46 at the moment and still going strong. I keep finding places and then tell myself I'll go back to it and explore, but then I forget where it was! I have a love/hate relationship with the draugr.
I finally got a comfy loveseat in our room and it looks great and it's really comfy. This week we will finally have our tv paid off and we can pick it up!!
I'm going to sell at the farmer's market here
August 7th, 2012Haven't written in a while. Been kinda busy.
For one, on August 13th, next Monday, I will be married for one FULL year!! To my wonderful ColinAus He's finally found work and he has off for 2 days for our Anniversary. Thinking somewhere relaxing. Not sure yet. We keep thinking we figure something out and then we change our minds again LOL.
I have been slowly taking photos again. Haven't got out that much to take photos of some cool stuff, as I've been a stay at home wife. Can't find work so I stay home. Still not sure what I've been doing most of this time other than just living through the days. I would hang out with friends, but the ones I know where I live don't want to hang out with me. So I'm getting used to not having any. Would be nice to talk to someone during the day though. I have my 2 cats, but I can only take so much before I become a crazy Cat Woman. LMAO.
I've been really into the Game of Thrones as of recently and just finished Book two. I'm pretty
January 19th-Free Premium Membership DAY!!!!I have missed my membership for SO LONG! I now can have an updated journal with my favorite journal skin
I have officially been married for 5 months and 6 days to my lovely husband ColinAus His photography work is totally amazing, he uploads often, unlike me
Reason being...I started to like uploading my photos to Facebook instead...just something about uploading 25 works in a couple minutes with quick editing is very addicting and I feel spoiled when I come back to dA and I can upload all of what I want...but I have to do each separately Stupid I know. I also bought me a camera last year that is small and fit in my pocket, so because of the photos I get with that one, my D5000 hasn't really seen the light in a while But I plan to play more with my photography instead of taking it so seriously and complaining about the lighting and more.
We went on our honeymoon to Gatlinburg, TN and mainly to Ripley's Aquarium. I have so many
Haven't been aroundHey there fellow deviants!
I apologize for not uploading new works. I've been really busy. I do have new photos to upload though, I just have to find the time.
I've been helping my mother edit her book for one. And then I'm trying to get a regular job. It's been hard as there have been alot of layoffs and how the economy is at the moment, I just can't get hired. The only jobs available where I am at are places where you have to have 3 or more years of experience or a college profession in. Most are quality culinary chefs. I've been trying to decide if I should go to school to become a culinary chef as there is always a demand for chefs, but I just don't really know what to do. And also where I am at, there are jobs available 30 minutes to an hour away, and I don't have the gas money for that.
I also got married!! And it was a small and cute wedding. So that's my good news. But unfortunately now my husband ColinAus and I are both trying to find jobs, without jobs we can't do much

Basic CSS Style GuideIntroduction
CSS is a style language used to define the style and formatting of web pages. It is used in conjunction with HTML.
If we think of HTML as the building blocks of the web then, essentially, CSS is the painter and decorator. Very simply, HTML defines the structure of the page and CSS defines the style.
What I'll be helping you with here is getting to grips with the basics of CSS. I'll be explaining how use CSS as well as providing a number of examples that you can use to style your own web pages and journals. All you need to do is copy/paste the code and replace the sample text with your own content. Along with the quick reference I've also written a brief glossary of terms and provided a list of useful links in case you wish to do some further reading.
A point of note is that while the information and examples I've given here apply to CSS use anywhere on the web, this guide itself is geared towards the use of CSS on deviantART. As such, and given that this h

Manip AcademyIntroducing a new project!
Manip Academy (thanks, cristii, for inspiration for the name) is a new photomanipulation project inspired by projecteducate. We all love to learn, and we learn best from one another. Here's our chance to share what we know.
Manip Academy is an education initiative designed to spread the knowledge and the love. It is a collaboration between CRPhotomanipulation and we-HEART-photomanip. We will share tips and tricks for photomanipulation success. It is difficult to write tutorials, but anyone can write a simple tip or describe how they achieved a specific effect.
This project will feature two weekly articles written by the community every week, on Mondays and Thursdays. This will be an ongoing project within our community, and we hope that many people will take advantage of the chance to sign up to submit one blog or even just a few sentences to help the community.

Check your Angles
Avoid unflattering angles, don't frame your model with their arms or legs chopped off unless it works for the image. If in doubt, fully frame them and do the chopping afterwards in post-processing! Don't forget to check that the tops of their heads and their feet are in focus. Missing feet are disconcerting!
Be the Director
As the Photographer, most people will be looking to you for direction. There's no time to be shy when you're behind the camera! Keep calm to help your model remain relaxed but make sure they're not made to feel awkward if you lack giving instruction. Pose them well, avoid direct bright sunlight and check out your background.
Eye contact...or not
Eye contact isn't always necessary, in fact candid journalistic style photographs often work best. Your subject doesn't have to be looking directly at the camera for it to be a successful shoot, but yo
